Email filtering

According to the Message Anti-Abuse Working Group, junk email accounts for a massive 78% of ALL email traffic.  Hardly surprising then that your Inbox is full of them each morning.  Most email and anti-virus software can spot unwanted email to a certain extent, but email filtering is not an exact science.  Junk email senders change tactics on a daily, if not hourly, basis.  Because of this it is difficult for software running on PCs or in-house servers to stay ahead of the game.  Even if your employees are only spending a few seconds reviewing and deleting each junk email message, that could still add up to many hours of lost productivity over a month - not to mention the risk of potentially infecting your network with a virus.

You may choose to change your junk email software settings in order to block more of the unwanted messages, but remember that one man's junk is another man's joy - there is always the risk of false positives if your filtering rules are too strict.

The solution

With TekMedic’s email filtering system all incoming and outgoing email passes through a filter to stop junk email and viruses. The system also queues your email in the event that there are problems with your broadband line or your server is otherwise unavailable. If your server is ever out of action for an extended period, the system can also act as a fully functioning email system allowing you to send/receive email via a webmail interface.

Users receive a daily report showing any emails that have been blocked in the past 24 hours – if there are any emails that have been incorrectly blocked they can simply click on a link to deliver the email immediately and/or register the sender as a “trusted sender” in order that no emails are blocked from them in the future.
